What is Least Cost Routing (LCR)?

Least Cost Routing is about finding the most cost effective way to reach your customers, suppliers and workforce. By assigning a prefixed 3 or 4 digit access code to any outgoing calls made calls can be routed from a local BT exchange to alternative networks and in-turn reducing call charges for the caller.

How Sabre can reduce your calls

Following a detailed analysis of your latest telephone bill Sabre will negotiate with our suppliers to get a new price schedule for your calls and to compare termination costs.

Routes are then assigned to find the cheapest network carriers for:

  • UK National Geographic (01XXX)
  • UK Local Special Services (0845, 0844)
  • UK National Special Services (0870, 0871)
  • UK Freephone (0800, 0500)
  • International and Mobile numbers.

Sabre can also offer bespoke tariff price plans to premium rate numbers.

Route and call quality

Sabre only uses established tier one network suppliers to deliver a quality of service to our clients.

How Sabre compares to BT

Sabre’s competitive pricing means that we can offer UK National Geographic calls for as low as 1p per minute (ppm)*; with the average business call lasting less than 5 minutes this can be a cheaper alternative to BT’s capped 5p service.

Sabre’s fully uncapped service offers a low ppm structure on all 08XX numbers and significantly reduced rates to mobile networks, on average 10ppm.
