Sabre move to new premises

Sabre Telecommunications, local leaders in Voice over IP (VoIP for short) have invested close to £1M at the recently constructed Woodingdean Business Park. Having outgrown rented property in Hove, Sabre took the initiative to design bespoke premises to better serve its customers; a move that is paying off.

Visitors to the new facility can take advantage of the demonstration suite and see the benefits of VoIP and what it can do for your business. Sabre have invested heavily in training its staff on cutting edge products, enabling them to provide both local and national businesses with award winning communications; so where did it all start?

Founded 10 years ago by Phil Van Tenac, Sabre specialised in providing refurbished telecoms equipment to companies at a fraction of the cost of new. The cost savings and abundance of used equipment available enabled Sabre to grow at quite a pace, serving giants like IBM and local government.

Within a few years Sabre became a Value Added Reseller for Lucent Technologies, supplying the Definity telephone system; a leader in its field.

Following re-structuring, a decision was made to deliver all the refurbished equipment sales under the brand of Usedtelecoms.com and a subsidiary company was formed in 2000, allowing Sabre to focus on new business whilst still gaining and maintaining used customers under the usedtelecoms brand.

With business and staff levels still increasing, Sabre identified the need for new premises and completed the move to Woodingdean with help from SEEDA to assist with their plan to employ a further 18 staff in as many months.

Sabre has gone from strength to strength and added customers such as eBay, Blue Square, Thales UK and the MOD to their books, as well as continuing to serve local companies for the past 10 years such as Brighton Language School and Britton Price of Hove. Sabre has also recently completed the installation of an AVAYA Communication Manager VoIP system for 700 users at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Prince Harry`s training ground. Such diverse customers and an excellent product range prove Sabre is an all rounder capable of delivering.
